Emily Portman is an award-winning singer and songwriter with a passion for traditional songs. She has toured widely for over 15 years as a band leader, in a duo with Rob Harbron and with the renowned alt-folk song band The Furrow Collective. Emily was awarded a BBC Folk Award for ‘Best Original Song’ and has released three critically-acclaimed albums of original songs inspired by ballads and fairytales. After a decade focusing on collaborative projects, Emily is back with an inspired new solo album of original songs, planned for release in Oct 2025. This is Emily’s most stripped-back album yet, with the spotlight on her unaffected voice, sharply-observed writing, and self-accompaniment on piano and banjo. Her 2025 tour includes Lucy Revis (cello).

Lucy Revis is an accomplished educator and session musician and current Director of Sheffield Music School and TRACKS. She has worked with renowned artists including Reverend and the Makers, Franz Von, Sam Sweeney, Giggs, and Jon Boden, alongside her acclaimed band Before Breakfast. She enjoys performing strings for adverts and film and recently featured in the acclaimed 'Meet me in the Bathroom'. Through her role at TRACKS, she works to create an inclusive environment bringing the areas most inspired musicians to mentor the next generation of artists. Through this trailblazing work hosting workshops and shows, she has helped platform young people to perform for global legends Bugzy Malone, Sheku Kanneh-Mason and Ed Sheeran amongst others. Lucy is excited to work with Emily and use her cello and voice to compliment the beautiful storytelling and artistry Emily brings to her songs.

With songs, dancing, listening as well as bubbles, percussion, props and informal introductions, this is a fun and informal gig for adults and their children aged 0-5 years.
