MORE INFO FOR ON THE DAY:

Here’s some important information about the Woodland Concerts to help make them as magical as possible:

Directions to the car park:

The Woodland Concerts are held on private land, which means Elf Ear Wood doesn’t appear on Google Maps, so please use the postcode (S18 4DL) to get into Unstone, and then use the following directions:

If you’re travelling down from Sheffield on the Unstone-Dronfield bypass (A61), take the exit towards Unstone. Just after the ‘welcome to Unstone’ sign, on the left there is a set of wooden double gates which will be open and a member of staff in high-vis will be stationed there. If you go past Cheetham Avenue, you’ve gone too far!

If you’re travelling from the opposite direction, the gates are just after the Horse and Jockey pub in the right.

Reaching Elf Ear Wood

Elf Ear Wood is a 15-20 minute walk from the car park and is not accessible by car - please wear suitable shoes! The path is suitable for pushchairs but is uphill and a bit bumpy - you may prefer carriers for young children. We will wait for audience members to arrive and then walk up together to the woodland. To make this possible, please arrive at the car park at 9.40. Please phone 07740708837 if you are running late.

What to bring

We will be outside all day and the concert will only be cancelled in the event of dangerous weather conditions, so the following might be helpful:

  • Sunhats, suncream and water bottles (refills available on site)

  • Insect repellent

  • Waterproof jackets / trousers

  • A spare set of children’s clothes

  • Wipes

  • Blankets / cushions to sit on

  • Sturdy and comfortable shoes that can get muddy

  • Seasonal snacks, lunches and drinks will be available for purchase on site, but you may wish to bring your own packed lunch.

Be prepared for basic toilet facilities (similar to camping!).

Parents/ carers are responsible for their children at all times. There are some areas that will need extra awareness (fire pit, polytunnel, woodland areas, pond) but we will give a briefing on the day and there will be plenty of trained staff around the site.

We’ve carried out a full risk assessment, see our website if you wish to see the full copy.

We are encouraging everyone to create a covid-safe environment; use hand sanitiser and keep a safe distance from others.

The events will likely be sold out, so only attend if you have a ticket for all members of your group.
In the unlikely event that the concert is cancelled, we will notify you via email.

That’s it! We hope we’ve answered your questions but if not, please don’t hesitate to get in contact via info@pollyives.com.
