Energetic storytelling, bubbles and music!
Join narrator Polly Ives with percussionist Matthew Brett on the marimba for a vibrant reimagining of popular book The Dog Who Could Dig, for children aged 3-7.
We want our concerts to be accessible to all young children, including those with additional needs. So, whether your child is neurodiverse, has a hearing or visual impairment, physical or learning disabilities (diagnosed or not), we create a relaxed and supportive environment at these Concerteenies events. We have worked with SEND music specialists and teachers to make our Musical Stories inclusive and fun. See below for more info.
With original music composed by Paul Rissmann, Concerteenies Musical Stories concerts are a lively mix of stories, image projection and audience participation. They are centred around stunning performances from professional musicians in a relaxed environment. The concert also features extracts from ‘Yellow After the Rain’ by Mitchell Peters, ‘A Little Prayer’ by Evelyn Glennie and an improvisation based on ‘Chatterbox’ by Chad Floyd.
Matthew Brett is a freelance musician who works with orchestras across the country and as a solo performer, won the BBC Young Musician 2018 Percussion Category.
