Energetic storytelling, bubbles and music!

Join narrator Polly Ives, clarinettist Alex Lyon and vocalist Sarah Carroll for a vibrant reimagining of Mouse and Bear by Kev Payne, for children aged 5-8 (siblings welcome).

Mouse loves to paint. Sometimes she sells her paintings in return for food which she shares with Bear. Bear is big and powerful and promises to protect Mouse but when a storm comes will Mouse be forgotten? A tale of determination, inspiration and new-found friends.

With original music composed by Paul Rissmann, Concerteenies Musical Stories concerts are a lively mix of stories, image projection and audience participation.

They are centred around stunning performances from professional musicians in a relaxed environment.

Alex Lyon is a cross-genre, contemporary clarinettist and music teacher based in South East London. She is a member of award-winning contemporary trio Terra Invisus, and folk collective, Mishra.  Alex loves to make weird and wonderful sounds on both Bb and bass clarinet and regularly works with young composers from across the UK.

Polly Ives is one of the UK’s leading music educationalists with a varied portfolio as a concert presenter, narrator, promoter, workshop leader, trainer and cellist. She regularly produces and presents children’s concerts alongside many highly renowned orchestras, ensembles and soloists (including London Philharmonic Orchestra, London Mozart Players and Ensemble 360) and with the leading arts organisations and venues in the UK (including the Southbank Centre, Wigmore Hall, Sheffield Theatres and Royal Opera House). She has worked with CBeebies, BBC Radio 3 and Scala Radio.
