Greystones Gigs with Deer Shed Festival: Hang Linton & James Lyons | 11:45

  • The Greystones Backroom Greystones Road Sheffield, England, S11 7BS United Kingdom (map)

Concerteenies is thrilled to present a double-billed Greystones Gig in collaboration with Deer Shed Festival.

Bubbles, percussion, props and a relaxed atmosphere also make this a fun, informal treat for adults plus their children aged 0-5.

Splicing avant-funk, dance punk & breakbeats, Hang Linton is an interdisciplinary artist based in Leeds. After cutting their teeth in Berlin across multiple projects & collectives, Hang has landed on home soil & is ready to make his mark. Their art is a rebellion against clean aesthetics, inspired by past experiences, changing global events & the ugliness in the world. It's not pretty - but it's important & Hang will make sure you enjoy the ride. Armed with a setup of a sampler, synths & visuals, Hang bends your ear around the counterculture sounds & movements that have shaped him. Hang has recently been featured in The Guardian's Cultural Prescription & selected as part of the BBC 6 Music Introducing Mixtape of 2022.

You may recognise James Lyons from performing alongside The Dusterlings on CBeebies’ ‘Justin’s House’! James is a multi instrumentalist, beatboxer and rapper based in Liverpool. He has been an active musician and workshop leader for over 20 years, bringing his own brand of positive hip hop and instrument beatboxing to stages and festivals all across the UK and beyond. His performances incorporate live looping, improvisation and interactive musical activities suitable for all ages."

A three day wonderland of creativity that doesn’t forgo exciting and contemporary musical and cultural curation, Deer Shed Festival is an event carefully designed to be a brilliant experience for all ages. A festival for all - families, friends and fans. Deer Shed 13 will take place on 28-31 July 2023 at Baldersby Park, North Yorkshire - tickets are on sale now.
