Banjo Jen and accordion player El Heneghan introduce us to the musical world of Americana including folk, country, bluegrass and even some Appalachian step-dancing!

With songs, dancing, listening as well as bubbles, percussion, props and informal introductions, this is a fun and informal gig for adults and their 0-5 year-old children.

Sheffield-based Banjo Jen is an unlikely musician. A designer and a teacher by training, she cut her teeth in workshops and classrooms, not bar rooms (well, she drank in the bar rooms… but didn’t play music!). But when she picked up a banjo at the tender age of (well, we’ll not mention that), something just clicked. After all, she thought, all the best folks play the banjo (Dolly Parton, Billy Connolly, Kermit the Frog…). Then the songs just started tumbling out, and before she knew it, she was known as ‘Banjo Jen’ and was performing original songs in front of audiences. https://www.banjojen.com

Adults £9, first child goes free. Additional children £2.50, under 1s free. Please ensure you book the correct number of free children's tickets so that we can monitor attendance. Refunds are only available when requested 1 week before the start of the event.

We are maintaining limited audience capacities and we encourage you to not arrive more than 10 minutes before your concert. You are welcome to wear a mask. We will clean / replace props and equipment between concerts where possible.

• No need to print your tickets, just show your QR code on the door.
